Pohon mangrove menjadi penyumbang terbesar oksigen, mengurangi polusi udara, menahan abrasi, dan tempat bagi ekosistem biota laut. Menanam mangrove untuk keberlanjutan kehidupan. Juga, dapat meningkatkan ekonomi masyarakat.
Kepala Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (DLH) Kota Cirebon dr Yuni Darti SpGK mengatakan, penanaman mangrove menjadi agenda rutin DLH.
DLH Kota Cirebon, lanjutnya, membina komunitas penanam mangrove.

Mangrove trees are the biggest contributors of oxygen, reduce air pollution, resist abrasion, and are a place for marine biota ecosystems. Planting mangroves for sustainable life. Also, it can improve the community's economy.
Head of the Cirebon City Environmental Service (DLH), Dr. Yuni Darti SpGK, said that mangrove planting is a routine agenda for DLH. This time, it was held in the series of World Environment Day (HLHS) 2024 at Cirebon City Level. In collaboration with BKPSDM, hundreds of mangroves were planted on the coast of Kebonbaru Village. "Planting mangroves is for sustainable life," he said.
The mangrove trees planted will be cared for by a team from the DLH Mangrove Working Group. Mangroves, said Yuni Darti, have many benefits. Among them, producing large amounts of oxygen, preventing abrasion, reforestation, a home for marine biota, which has an impact on improving the community's economy. To achieve the ideal number on the 7 km coastline of Cirebon City, around 20 thousand mangrove trees are needed.
Cirebon City DLH, he continued, fosters a community of mangrove growers. This also includes children's groups, which have been formed at Pesisir Elementary School and Cirebon City 13 Middle School. Because planting mangroves to maintain the sustainability of life, said Yuni Darti, must be planted from an early age. “Maintaining the environment is a shared responsibility. "Including protecting Cirebon City from abrasion by planting mangroves," he said. (ysf)
